Thirty Handmade Days contributors Shawna and Devenie from Salty Bison have a couple clever tricks up their sleeves for turning an out-of-date bread box into a functional storage space once again.
While the pretty blue paint, chevron paper, and refabbed hardware are a definite upgrade from the drab brown and kitchen gunk, it’s what’s inside that gives the old box a repurposed life. The ladies from Salty Bison added a power strip to the inerior, transforming it into a nifty little hair appliance organizer or electronics charging station. Say good bye to cluttered bathroom counters and messy wires!

Thanks for featuring Shawna and Devenie’s bread box charging station Beckie! I love this idea.
I did this project back in March. It was one of the first blog posts I ever did. Here’s my breadbox turned charging station: http://thebackyardbungalow.com/?p=40
Pretty darn smart. I had the very same bread box all those years ago.

I just came across a breadbox at a garage sale. Hopping over to see what they did. Great idea!
Thanks for sharing Beckie!
Glad I could! It was an awesome idea!
I’m all about hidden storage and concealing clutter.
