Tree Stump Planter

Courtney from Courtney Out Loud was out for a walk with his pooch when the duo found a tree stump sitting curbside, free for the taking. Scruffy was actually the one to zero in on the stump with his “uncanny eye for design.” Courtney loved the shape of the stump and interesting knothole in the center, so he hauled the baby home.

Courtney cleaned the dried out stump and knothole and decided to turn the piece into a planter for his patio. After adding some netting and moss to the bottom of the knothole and elevating the stump with legs from IKEA, Courtney completed the transformation with two lovely succulent plants. I love how natural it looks nestled among the plants and trees.
