Megan from Meg and Mum’s bought this stinky, rundown 1930-1940’s era kitchen dresser a while back for only $50. It had been used for garage storage by the gentleman they purchased it from for years with the intention of eventually restoring it. It was pretty grimy to say the least.
Megan scraped off the paint and sanded the dresser before her hubs took over with the painting. With a few new pieces, including side panels, backing, and hardware, the dresser has been given new life and now sits proudly in Megan’s home. I’d say the transformation is quite miraculous! The cabinet went from a scuzzy eyesore to a stylin’ storage unit.

Unbelievable!! They chose excellent hardware, and the switch-out of new glass looks fabulous.
This cabinet is so pretty!!!! I would much rather repurpose or refinish a piece of furniture than go out and buy something made of particle board!!!
Thank you so much for featuring my kitchen dresser!
Beautiful rescue and transformation! Truly a showpiece now!
