After nine years with the same décor in her master bedroom, Amy from the Idea Room has been freshening things up a bit. One addition Amy wanted to make was a personalized sign in honor of her and hub’s wedding date. Amy knew she wanted a weathered look and had the perfect wood source in an old beat up swing that was awaiting the garbage truck.
Amy used three of the planks for her sign and then added vinyl lettering that she made with her Silhouette. While the peeling paint was quite unbecoming on the swing, it adds such beauty and charm to Amy’s sign. I love décor like this that makes the space about the people who live in it.

That is one of a kind keeper. Very nice.
Thanks so much for featuring my sign! Love your site Beckie!
Fabulous! What a lovely piece of art. I am really enjoying your site this morning. Who ever thought I’d be studying “road kill” with my morning coffee? So glad I found you through Funky Junk. ~Sarah
Bonus: he’ll never forget their anniversary!!! Good thinking, Amy!
