Gail from My Repurposed Life took a couple of items off her aunt’s hands this summer including an old drop rail crib. Maybe you’ve also found one of these curbside since they were recently blacklisted (although not all will have a cute little decal like Gail’s).
Gail primed and painted the crib sides before giving one of the panels three coats of chalkboard paint. After adding hinges, Gail’s sandwich board sign was complete! (Let’s shed a quick tear for Bambi and Thumper who were the unfortunate victims of sandpaper during the completing of this project.) Gail points out that this design could easily be adapted to a child’s easel with the addition of clips to hold paper and a supply tray. One basic design with two very cute and practical uses!
