Gabby from The…Late, Young Family and her husband were tired of their low-sitting Ikea bed and decided it was time to say goodbye. Gabby knew that she wanted to keep the bed slats though and held onto them for quite a while. There they sat half-primed while Gabby decided what their future held.
Gabby used a few of the slats to form a frame and then attached the remainder across the front to create a slat-style piece of wall art. After thin coats of blue and green paint, Gabby added her wording. An uncomfortable bed in exchange for a meaningful piece of wall décor sounds like a good trade to me!
