Kristin from A Simply Klassic Home had been housing a dresser in her office for awhile. It was actually one of the first things her grandparents owned as US citizens after leaving Germany in search of a better life. I think it goes without saying that it is a pretty treasured piece in Kristin’s family.
Kristin had been trying to persuade her mom to allow her to paint it for years. The dream finally came true when her daughter needed a dresser for her big girl room. After the long wait, Kristin busted out the sandpaper and paint almost immediately. I am totally impressed by her resourcefulness in creating pulls out of fabric when she couldn’t find handles that were the right size. Genius!

I ADORE this makeover! I think the fabric pulls are genius…and I love that the dresser is a family heirloom…it’s just perfect! Wonderful work, Kristin!!!!
Eeeek!!! I’m so excited to be featured!! What a wonderful intro – thank you so much Beckie!!!
Beautiful job! I love the blue and white together-great job on the distressing too!
REE-ally prettttty!!!
Wow that is so gorgeous now …. your mum & grandparents would all be impressed !
That is so beautiful. Love the new look, esp. the pulls. No one gives me furniture in my family. In fact when I visit my sister, her husband tells me to stay away from their beautiful Grand Piano, as if I would do something to that……
This is stunning! Stunning!
