Succulents Garden Dresser

Curt and Jessica from Grizzly Bear Modern recently bought a new home and found a hardwood dresser stashed in the garage. Curt knew right away that he could find a cool use for it.

And he definitely didn’t disappoint. Curt was driven by his love of succulents to create a tiered garden out of the drawers. He drilled plenty of holes in the bottoms to provide proper drainage and ensure the beloved succulents wouldn’t be sitting in soggy soil. This is a brilliant solution for those with green thumbs but limited gardening space.

Taking a big breath in..oh my goodness is that cool. Incredibly clever and funky. I must try, although trickier in Massachusetts. Still, wow Curt what a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

People’s minds never cease to amaze me! I love succulents, too, because my Grandma always had so many of them. Never have given them a shot, though, as my thumb is more brown than green. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his brilliant use of a well-loved dresser!

  3. I’m all for cute, clever and funky ways to display succulents—and I love the tiered look—but I’m wondering what’ll happen over time as the wet wood expands and shrinks. Once the veneer starts peeling…well, this will be even MORE shabby chic, I guess.

  4. This is really a perfect match of furniture love and gardening Love it! I might have to find a dresser for this in my back yard :-)
