This project from Sarah at Upscale Downhome is the union of two “salvage souls,” trestle tables legs and an old door made of wainscot. The trestle table was spotted curbside and lovingly hauled home by Sarah’s son, while the old door had been nabbed on an expedition at the dump.
These pieces came together to create an awesome rustic table for Sarah’s screened porch. After being trimmed to size, the old door was attached to the trestle table legs to form the new tabletop. To keep it “primitive” looking Sarah wiped off the gray paint immediately after applying it. Isn’t she a beaut?
