Sharon at Elizabeth & Co. received this beautiful buffet as a hand-me-down from a friend. Sharon was thrilled to find the piece in perfect condition. It was just a bit outdated and in need of a little love.
Really, all it needed was some paint to freshen it up, and I love Sharon’s vision for the colors. She painted the entire buffet with a soft grey chalk paint and then accented the details with white. Some distressing, and it was done. Simple and beautiful. Not too much more you could ask for!

How lovely.
Thanks so much for sharing my buffet Beckie! I just love Roadkill Rescue!
Maybe I’m an old fuddy-duddy, fussy lady – but it really seems a shame to me to do the paint job on some of these beautiful wood pieces. If it was truly crappy, it would be a different story but this piece looks as if a good cleaning and (possibly) minor repair to the top would have made it a lovely piece. Painting such furniture should really be done to the lower quality or almost completely trashed pieces as a ‘rescue.’ Just MHO. I think the painting old furniture craze has gone too far sometimes.
