Katie at Notes From A Very Red Kitchen found an old, ratty tat crib sitting dumpster side. Even though the finish was in terrible shape, she simple adored the scallops and little spindles.
Katie had the vision of turning the pieces into a child’s easel like one she had seen at a small, downtown shop. After priming and painting, the headboard and football were attached with hinges to form the easel. If you haven’t been able to bear the thought of letting go of your child’s precious crib, this is such a great way to repurpose it. How fun to tell your little one this is the crib they used to sleep in as a baby!

Maybe put a wider opening hinge and add a shelf on both sides, with a wider shelf in the back side, then put some large clips across the back side, to hang art, or do art, or make the shelf so it will hold paint. Like the idea of saving the crip forever. When they become a teen, maybe convert it to a cloths butler.
Brilliant! Looks SO good!
Most definitely brilliant! I wish I had thought of this before getting rid of my children’s crib!
